Nikolay Irmanov
Nik is currently combining coaching in the parks with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and German at the University of Sheffield. Nik has been coaching tennis for 5 years, from tots to seniors, and beginners to advanced players.  Nik has a real love for tennis, as he believes it's a skill sport and so it's not always the strongest, fittest and biggest who excel, rather it is a sport which anyone can play. His favourite part of coaching is watching players progress through encouragement, knowledge and hard work to achieve personal success. Outside of tennis, Nik enjoys swimming, keeping fit and travelling. For private lessons, contact Nik on nikirmanov@gmail.com.
Jake Walker
An LTA Level 3 coach, Jake has the qualifications to help players of all abilities progress and achieve their personal objectives - and his own playing experience keeps him honing his skills on court too and building his knowledge to share with those he teaches. When Jake isn't holding a racket, he can be seen driving his pick-up truck and emerging with a power tool in his hand! So whether he's fixing forehands or front porches, Jake will get the job done.
Mal Ward
Mal has been working as an LTA accredited development coach since 2006, originally based in North Nottinghamshire. Having trained as an independent financial advisor, he balances coaching with the world of finance; though very different, both roles enable Mal to help his customers to realise their respective goals. Mal is especially pleased to be on the Premier Tennis team bringing tennis to the community through delivering sessions in parks and local schools. For private lessons, contact Mal on wardbond42@gmail.com.

Become a Premier Tennis coach

We employ coaches at different levels to run and support a wide variety of programmes. Currently, there are opportunities to coach on our club, school, park and holiday club programmes, as well as individual private lessons which we are regularly asked about.

All Premier Tennis coaches are required to be DBS checked and have the relevant first aid qualification; they must also successfully demonstrate their coaching ability and attend training sessions with our coaching team as required. Get in touch with us to find out more.

What do Premier Tennis coaches receive?

Premier Tennis coaches are rewarded well, and in return, we expect a high degree of professionalism – which is nothing less than our customers demand or deserve.

We have excellent opportunities for ongoing coach education with our in-house partner Growing the Game. This enables us to create bespoke coaching courses for achieving Level 1 and 2 or above, often at a discount, with like-minded and motivated coaches.

You will also benefit from our own additional training, as we are committed to ensuring all our coaches are fully up to speed on age-appropriate drills and teaching techniques, as well as customer service expectations.

Further off-court support is available to our in-house coaches and local partners in the form of mentoring, marketing, customer service and administration, finance and legal advice.
